Every link in this flag chain represents a debt of freedom we can never fully repay. Some of those we honor gave their last full measure—falling in battle from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Others carried that same courage home with them and continue to live it out as veterans among us. Some serve proudly throughout the world today. All deserve a place in this tribute.
